Coventry & North Warwickshire Hockey Club was established in 1895 and for 102 years was situated at Binley Road, where a multi-sport club comprising of Cricket, Tennis, Squash, and Hockey grew up.

As all competitive hockey is now played on artificial surfaces, the Hockey section moved headquarters to Westwood Heath in 1997. This enabled players to train and play on astorturf pitches and enjoy the hospitality and facilities of the Westwood Club and Reading Rooms as their clubhouse.

Coventry & North Warwickshire Hockey Club provides a family environment, with players' ages ranging from six to sixty, with many senior members giving support by umpiring, coaching and committee work.

The Club runs several mens and ladies teams who play in various Midlands and Warwickshire Leagues. It also has a growing junior section for boys and girls, and a mixed team and veterans team playing friendly fixtures. A social programme is implemented and enjoyed by all playing members, partners and families.

The committee and team captians encourage resposibility, teamwork and contribution to the good of the club. The club has developed an ethos that incorporates not only competitive sport at the highest level, but also the development of responsible members of the community.
