Having won the gold medal at the Easter Four Nations Tournament in Seville, the England U18 Boys were serious contenders at the Euronations Championships in Belgium in July. Having qualified for the semi finals, they lost an exciting match 4-6 to hosts and eventual champions Belgium.
They then played Holland for the Bronze medal, an end to end encounter which was tied 1-1 at full time. In golden goal extra time the Dutch were quickest out of the blocks and took 3rd place with England finishing 4th. By the end of the tournament Alex had earnt his 25th junior cap for England and scored his third England goal, one which proved to be the winner against Poland!"
