C&NW Under 18's beat Bromsgrove today in the first round of the under 18 national knock out.
The first team experience of Czerniewski and Acton combined with outstanding performances from Jennings and Stern in the middle of the park proved too much for Bromsgrove as C&NW racked up seven goals without reply.
Early pressure was quickly rewarded when Shane Acton finished of a well worked penalty corner in the ninth minute, CNW continued to surge forward but Bromsgrove held on for another twenty minutes before Acton struck again from open play. Two minutes later Alex Czerniewski beat two defenders and powered a flick high into the roof of the bromsgrove net, Acton then added another from a penalty corner to make it 4-0 at half time.
The second half started well for Cov when Tom Johnson deflected a powerful pass into the top corner and ten minutes later Stern fired home after a mazy run to make it six. Guy Walford came of the bench to add the seventh, again from open play.
Bromsgrove pushed hard in search of a consolation goal only to be denied by keeper Follows and two goal line saves from defender Alex Grafton.
C&NW U18's join the clubs U15 side in the second round draw with matches to be played on the 9th of November.
